2009 GOOD FRIDAY JOINT WORSHIP SERVICE
ANNOUNCEMENT
The Ministerial Alliance of Springfield & Vicinity will conduct their 2009 Good Friday Joint Worship Service on Friday, April 10, 2009 12:00 p.m. (NOON) at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 1130 South 16th St., Springfield, Illinois. The theme will concentrate on the Last Words of Jesus. Featured speakers will include: Rev. Sam J. Winger, Serving Jesus Willingly Urban Ministries, Minister Gary T. Pierce, Key of David Ministries and Pastor Gen VanderKloot, Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. Admission is free and the public is encouraged to attend. Worship and music are being coordinated under the direction of Rev. Gerald Lasley, Associate Union Baptist Church.
The Ministerial Alliance is committed to providing opportunities to individuals, area churches and congregations to come together to worship and to work together for the common good across all racial and geographical lines. This service demonstrates the unity that Jesus referred to in His high priestly prayer that he offered shortly before He went to the cross. “…that they all be one; even as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they may be in Us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send Me.” John 17:21
